Background

Temitayo Ade-Peters is an award winning bilingual Sustainable Development Consultant with over 15 years’ experience in the operations, communications and sustainability fields. She is currently the CEO of WeForGood International, an expression of Kharis Cares Foundation, a n0nprofit she founded to build a new crop of African leaders who will champion its sustainable development. The WeForGood community (weforgood.org) brings people together to act on causes they care about, employing technology as an enabler for effective citizenship, collaboration and participation in fulfilment of the SDGs, and for the overall wellbeing of communities. She also leads the programmes, communication and training efforts at the consulting arm of WeForGood, supporting companies to build purposeful and profitable businesses. WeForGood has been listed in the Forbes Africa December 2019/ January 2020 edition as one of ‘Top 50 Brands Making a Difference in Nigeria’. She’s the Founder of ThriveTribe, a community that provides mentorship, coaching, training and advisory to help mission driven folks experience exponential transformation that empowers them to thrive in career, business and life. Prior to her current roles, she led the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and sustainability efforts at the Nigerian Stock Exchange, and before that, she was Head, CSR at FCMB, one of the top banks in the country. Her immediate pursuit after joining the bank was to bring improved structure to its sustainability efforts, and elevate its profile amongst stakeholders through impact focused initiatives. The journey earned the bank several recognitions and sustainability awards. In her previous role as Lead, Communications International for Access Bank Plc, she initiated its sustainability strategy migration for local adaptation at subsidiaries across Africa, endearing the bank to the nationals. She is a much sought-after speaker and trainer, who has graced the platforms of international conferences at home and abroad. In 2018, in recognition of Temitayo’s contribution to helping businesses create sustainable value and lasting impact, she was honoured with the prestigious “GLOBAL CSR LEADERSHIP AWARD” at the World CSR Day at Taj Lands End, Mumbai, India. As an avid learner, in addition to the various courses she has taken, she’s an Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner (issued by IBM), she has a certificate in sustainability strategy from the Lagos Business School, a degree in Foreign Languages and an MBA from the Paris Graduate School of Management. Temitayo is a dynamic mentor and coach whose deepest passion is to turn mission-driven folks into social innovators. She believes in partnerships and she actively promotes collaborative participation, and volunteering for addressing issues of collective concern. Her personal mantra is: “You can start the change you want to see.”
